Lockdown Orchestra  As you may now be aware, we have had to make the unfortunate decision of cancelling the NSGSO and NSGCB summer course for 2020 due to the ongoing situation with COVID-19.  Whilst we are all incredibly disappointed to be in this position, we have been keeping in touch with our 2020 participants during lockdown and are delighted to share with you our very own Lockdown Orchestra performance!  Featuring 94 musicians from across our 2019 and 2020 participants, led by both of our conductors, Leon Gee and Neil Wright, we present to you a one of a kind performance of ‘The Gang’s All Here’ by Rodney Newton, originally written for the Scout Centenary in 2007.  The full performance can be viewed here: https://youtu.be/tlMV-x5Kfrc Friends of NSGSO and NSGCB  I would also like to take this opportunity to invite you to join our Friends community, which brings together alumni, families, and supporters of music in Girlguiding and The Scout Association. We have a mailing list which keeps our community up to date with the latest developments from the NSGSO and NSGCB and gives advance notice of our concerts. It is free to join, so please head to apply.nsgso.com to sign up or email friends@nsgso.com to find out more. NSGSO and NSGCB 2021  Finally looking ahead to 2021, we are delighted to be able to announce that we have secured the prestigious booking of Coventry Cathedral for our main concert, which will coincide with Coventry being the UK City of Culture for 2021. We will be hosting a spectacular joint concert with both the Symphony Orchestra and Concert Band on Saturday 7th August 2021 and look forward to sharing more details with you all in due course.  We wish you all the best for all that you are doing to keep your members going at this difficult time and look forward to seeing you again at our events very soon!  Kind regards,

Maggie Jones NSGSO and NSGCB Coordinator (Girlguiding Liaison) National Scout & Guide Symphony Orchestra and Concert Band maggie@nsgso.com
